About

“For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” – Galatians 5:1

“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!” – Psalm 95:6

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights…” – The Declaration of Independence of the United States of America, July 4, 1776

The idea of America exists because of the hearts and minds of some of the wisest men to ever walk the face of the earth. Though these men, commonly known as ‘The Founding Fathers”, did not agree on everything, they did agree on several core beliefs that were universally shared by all the names written on our original documents. The one worldview shared by all of them was that we had a Creator that gave all men LIBERTY. The documents merely affirmed that common thread.

And although this common belief in one God that was the author of each founder’s faith, that would not be the case in America today. As of 2023, just over half of all Americans believed in the God that was identified as our Creator in these original documents. This has led to cultural upheaval that has brought us to a point in history where many Americans wonder if the original documents need to be re-written to better reflect America now.

The ever-changing culture in America, along with changes that are unfolding within the Christian church, has caused a tectonic shift in what is important to America. Yet, in the midst of this changing culture and political climate remains a remnant of citizens that hold fast to the values shared by the founders. And with that, these same people have demonstrated through their lives, actions, and words, a relentless pursuit of the author of their faith.

Stand & Kneel is a journal of the people, the issues, and how we must face the cultural challenge that rarely, if ever, recognizes the stories which often go unreported in corporate media. We share the lives of ordinary citizens that do extraordinary things as a result of the person and work of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus. We discuss the issues that challenge the ideas that began with the establishment of our great nation. We challenge the ideas that infiltrate the church, which stem from a compromise to appease the prevailing culture that demands the Body of Christ change with them.

While that culture may tell us to kneel for the anthem, we kneel for our Creator. While some demand that we stand with popular cultural movements, we stand firm in our faith that God has the answers for all who are troubled and weary. As we believe and attest to the fact that God created all men as equals, we recognize that compassion and love for our fellow man is more important than compromise in our faith. Whichever side you chose in American culture, we hope that you will read the stories and share your thoughts. And we hope, above all, that this journal will be a light to your path in finding your journey with the God of our salvation.
